Berkley Beer Wins Boston's Brewery Battle 2023!

Berkley Beer began 11 years ago in a garage in Berkley, MA. But despite our humble beginnings, we’ve expanded to a seasoned brewery and taproom now located in Taunton, MA with a following of loyal customers.

When we were entered into the Rock 92.9 Boston’s Brewery Battle 2023, our fans came out in full force to show their support. The bracket-style battle started kicked off with 64 regional taprooms and breweries from across Massachusetts vying for the number one title. The public was invited to vote online for their favorite local brewery, narrowing the field of contestants each round.

As Berkley won some battles and progressed through the rounds, owner, Glenn Barboza was thrilled by the backing of his patrons. “I’ve always known our customers were great, but it means so much to know they took the time to vote for Berkley Beer round after round.”

Glenn and his staff’s excitement built as the pool of candidates dwindled in the final 3 face offs until it was down to just Berkley Beer Company and Tree House Brewing Co. “When we were announced as the #1 in Boston’s Brewery Battle, I couldn’t believe it!” said Glenn. “We’ve worked really hard to bring our customers original beers and awesome food pairings. Their votes now prove that we’re doing something right.”

“We truly have the greatest fans and couldn’t have done this without them,” noted Glenn. “I want to thank all my customers for their support throughout the years, as well as my amazing staff and also Rock 92.9. Winning this contest is an amazing honor!” Glenn is inspired to continue striving to bring his guests exceptional offerings.
